Joey Logano came up big on Sunday in the dessert of Las Vegas to take the checkered flag in the Pennzoil 400. It was nice to settle back into the racing norm knowing that Ryan Newman was on the mend and out of the hospital.
The race had its share of feel good moments as well. We saw drivers like Bubba Wallace run strong all day and finish with a top ten in 6th place, we also witnessed Jimmie Johnson run near the front as well as Ricky Stenhouse who led laps and was very aggressive, as usual.
Coming home in 2nd was the Wood Brothers 21 driven by fan favourite Matt DiBenedetto. Matt has shown the NASCAR world he is more than capable of wheeling a race car. Now that he has solid equipment under him, multiple wins may be right around the corner.
